The Cisco N3K-C3064PQ-10GX is a high-density, ultra-low-latency top-of-rack switch aimed at modern data-center environments where performance, scale and efficiency are paramount. Housed in a compact 1-rack-unit chassis, it integrates 48 fixed SFP+ ports (each capable of 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps operation) along with 4 fixed QSFP+ ports (each capable of native 40 Gbps or 4×10 Gbps breakout) — delivering up to ~1.28 terabits per second of switching capacity and approximately 950 million packets per second of forwarding throughput. It runs Cisco’s NX-OS operating system, tailored for data-center architectures with features such as virtual port-channels (vPC), 64-way ECMP routing, jumbo‐frame support (up to 9216 bytes MTU), and a full suite of Layer 2 and Layer 3 services. The platform also supports both forward and reverse airflow, AC and DC power supplies, redundant fans and power modules — making it well suited for demanding.
